Tempe Mortuary offers a full range of services. Our experienced staff will work with you to explain the many choices and answer any questions you may have. Some of the options include traditional funeral services, visitations, graveside services, full cremation services with viewing, memorial services, cremations, burials, and shipping arrangements. Traditional "Full Service Funeral"

At Tempe Mortuary, a traditional service includes a visitation or viewing, with a formal service on the following day, which will either take place at Tempe Mortuary, or at a church or other location of the family's choice. Generally , a member of the clergy or another person chosen by the family conducts the funeral service. The funeral coach or "hearse" will then be used to transport your loved one to the cemetery for burial or cremation after the conclusion of the service. A traditional service is the most common type of service that is conducted and serves as a meaningful expression to your family as well as others who attend the service.

 

Cremation

Those choosing cremation have many options from which to choose. Many families choose to hold a memorial service, which allows the bereaved to cope with the loss of a loved one. The greatest misunderstanding about cremation is that there is no need for a funeral service. Most families do not realize how many options are actually available. The family can choose to have a gathering, which can be either public or private, with an open or closed casket. When services follow the cremation, an urn containing the cremated remains will take the place of prominence, just as a casket normally would. After the ceremony, the final disposition of the cremated remains may take place, or a delay in the final committal can take place, which allows for other family members to attend from out of state. Families may also choose to scatter the cremated remains with our help by plane, or privately as a family. Whichever service you and your family select, Tempe Mortuary will be there to assist you every step of the way.

Shipping Arrangements
You may wish to have your family member sent out of state for burial. Our licensed funeral directors can make all the necessary arrangements with the receiving funeral home, cemetery, and airlines.
